Dynamic Tags use status indicators to communicate the current state of tags, groups, and datasets throughout the workflow. Understanding these statuses helps you track progress and identify when action is needed.

Tag Statuses

Individual tags display one of the following statuses:

Status	Description
Creating	The tag is being created and its preview is generating. Opening a tag in this state will not display a preview.
Needs review	The tag has been created, but you haven’t opened the tag page yet. The group cannot be published until all tags are reviewed.
Draft	The tag has been created and you have opened the tag page. When all tags in a group reach Draft status, the group can be published.
Updating	Tag prompts have been updated and the model is retraining. This status appears alongside “Updating preview” in the Preview section.
Published	The tag is published and available for dataset use.
Unpublished changes	You have modified the text prompts or visual prompts of a tag in a published group, but haven’t published the changes yet. Threshold changes apply directly to the scoring table without triggering this status.
Error	An unexpected error occurred during model training. This status is unrelated to scoring errors.
Deleting	The tag is being deleted.

Group Statuses

Tag groups display one of the following statuses:

Status	Description
Creating	The group is being created with at least one tag.
Draft	All tags in the group are in Needs review or Draft status. The group is ready to publish once all tags are reviewed.
Updating	New tags are being added to the group after initial creation.
Published	The group version is published and available for dataset use.
Validated	The group version has been validated and is ready to use.
Unpublished changes	You have modified at least one tag since the last publish, but haven’t published the changes yet.
Error	At least one tag in the group has an error.
Deleting	The group is being deleted.

Group Statuses on Datasets

When viewing tag groups from the dataset perspective, you’ll see these statuses:

Status	Description
Unscored	The group is associated with the dataset (for example, it was created for this dataset) but no published version exists.
Scoring	The group is actively scoring assets in this dataset.
Active	The group is live on this dataset and scoring is complete.
Scored	The tag has been scored on this dataset.
Update available	A new version of the group has been published but isn’t active on this dataset yet. You can apply the update from the dataset management page.
Error	An error occurred while publishing this group to the dataset.
Deleting	The group is being deleted from this dataset.
